The habit gaining fervor as the solitude aspires to acquire a better portion in my life. I always end up writing something which had promiscuously become part of a living soul and then as sudden disappeared into oblivion.
Re-living the dream as one would have said, where I would contradict myself a number of times just to remember her the way she was last seen...
A fleeting glance at first, held me agape. My eyes failing to veer even for a moment, those were her looks; it had me frozen on the spot...a debate at its rage going on inside my head. A distant continuous thud evoking me out of consciousness "An uneven storyline gathering dust"...those were the thoughts.
My hands resting just below the heart, the rocking intense and the nervousness just pouring. I would have imagined this many a time in a wayward dream but seeing her in skin just waiting there for someone to come had me in jitters.
'Gorgeousness' would have been an understatement in her presence, beauty never seen before, the gentle movement of hands reminding me of the description of princess within the many fairy tales I had grown up reading. Her smile hmmm...as someone would say over in a flash, but its memory lasting over a lifetime.
Strangely enough, the time was at a standstill. The cold air piercing the uncovered body parts; the sting making me realize the time was there to throw myself into reality.
The innocence synonymous to the smile dripping from a face that could have floored many. Uncountable thoughts and actions racing in the head, I had to meet her as if thats the last task to do before I got hitchhiked to moments lost forever. My soul pestering me to forget everything in that instant and just move towards, being with a princess who has mistakenly set foot upon the parched earth.
And then with feet as if driven by heart, I opened my eyes and walked towards her...
A gentle introduction, over a span of few minutes left an intoxicated effect on me
I fall into a reverie while listening to an actual nightingale sing. The joy and pain felt, an ambivalent response. The expression of intense and numbed feelings.... Consider whether pleasure can be so intense that, paradoxically, it either numbs us or causes pain.
A close look reminded one of the Greek goddess of love, beauty and sexual rupture; the dazzling beauty - Aphrodite
Quoting William Shakespeare - "Eternity was in our lips and eyes, Bliss in our brows' bent; none our parts so poor,But was a race of heaven."
"What the eye does not admire, the heart does not desire."
~ Anonymous
The parting even though consummated by a handshake, left a desire to meet her again.
"I met her like a rose in an oasis and had the lingering thoughts of a Raven",
"Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!" I shrieked, upstarting--
"Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken!--quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"

stress delimited - Friday the 13th
I had been looking forward to this day since the last...15 days.
The last 2 weeks had been spent going out regularly to beat the heat at office. But those late night maneuvers and sleeping at times when the god fearing wake, did leave me restless and wanting from work in the mornin's. The only event that would re-kindle the spirit a meeting that would make me look creative and in others words waste time.
Finally the day did come but was clashing with one of the of-beat parties the office throws now and then to 'de-stress the youths'...and youths that don favour the optimism in the field are considered less pro-active at work; guess virtual management did leave them out of common sense and anyhow all do not share the fervour passing around.
The black day as it is considered in Hollywood, flying out on Friday the 13th did raise my spirits.
With an off-shade jeans, a knife slash at one side, wearin' a Kurt Cobain t-shirt and a 'Star of David' around the neck. A recklessly thrown over 'Provogue' jacket combined by a i-Pod wire hanging loosely at my ears....i made my way to the airport lounge, bearing in mind to not talk non-sense during the flight or on the airport.
The silent and zombie crew of Spice Jet did not amuse me much, rather an addition to the kitty of bloated and worthless crew of other carriers (except Kingfisher of course).
At the Pune airport, a quick meeting with parents, bro and bhabhi I headed for home. This was followed by my fav lunch and finally was looking forward to the evening ahead (planned quite a number of days in advance even to the minutest of details)...
...met my college friend after 3 yrs in one of the good malls of pune (a hot pickup joint one might say)...pleasantries were passed around, and then we hopped down to the basement to gather his car...a pretty green chick with leather overalls all ready to be driven...
he had a good command of her, and with traffic rules gone for a toss late in evening we went to a 5-Star, that served drinks over an aura of live music.
Some small number over the line, and little talk we came up to date with whats happening in our lives and gradually settled to the tune of one of the fav numbers we listened while in college.
the drinks were followed by a healthy yet appetizing late night dinner, at another one of the 5-star hotels. Service immaculate so were the guests, and a dance with a gorgeous one ended the star studded night.
But better late than never, we hopped on back to the car a cruise back to the place i was staying...at night asking security guards who looked more dead than the night itself, we just couldn't locate the place. A couple of blocks further we saw two females taking the dog out for a walk (!!!wearin' party wear!!!). Cordially i got out of the car, and asked in a real pleasant voice, "Excuse me Mam', can you tell us where the place is?
Guess the dog would have been in more sense then them, a tug from the dog got them out of their dreams, and the one farther to me answered "Sorry! we are new to this area".
Without missing a beat I replied back - "ladies, you don seem to be in the proper mood do you want any one of us to escort you back home"
The latter with the dog replied a "yes!"...
I told her "Mam' the dogs too big to fit inside, if there is no problem one of my friends gonna escort your other one home"
Expecting a sharp remark, the ladies kinda surprised us by agreeing to the request. Giving the address of a location a little way up the road. I tol' my friend to move ahead with one of them and I would follow suite.
Moving to the apartment we left the dog, and everyone hopped into the car to head to one of the pubs that opened till late at night...
...an entire night of fun and frolic, could beat a dead-beat office party any day...
we returned back in the wee hours of the morning, dropping them off to their place; exchange of numbers and the casual getting to know each other done in the back seat, promising a blast if another party came our way till Monday mornin' - the time i would be returning back to my lone and monotonous office schedule...

...at the concert...
...the day of reckoning was finally over. One of the most famous groups was performing live and it was doing so this evening...had left me quite agape with anticipation.
we had been hearing quite a lot through out the day, of how crowds have thronged the venue to get a first hand glimpse of the heroes in action. With the news being played again and again on the local FM, we thought of moving least with tickets too we don't get seats. We grouped together in a friends car and moved towards the epicentre of the entire fiasco.
the place was far too lively to describe, in the words of Michalangilo (coutesy, TMNT)..."cowabunga".
the place as usual had been divided into three sections - for dudes with passes, adjoining them the one who could afford expensive tickets and then the crowd who came with the over flowing masses.
we had placed ourselves on strategic locations, knowing too well a surge of adrenalin in crowd would make them too unruly and make them rush forward....if one went the others would follow too...
guess the excitement was too much and soon I found myself to be the sole member, standing in the 4th line from the beginning. With none of my friends nearby I made a desperate ruse to be there where the stage was, where I would get to touch 'Joe Perry' a moment of eternal fame altogether...
was about to take a step forward when a melodious voice touched the tangents of my soul, rocking me altogether from the depths of 'mariana trench' back to solid surface where the common man fought to stay into existence.
turning around i saw a couple fighting, with the girl showing intention of moving forward and the guy staying parked at the place. The back and forth exchange happened thrice between them, and then the girl took the inevitable decision - she left the guys hand...the excitement so much and flow of human beings so strong that the guy was pulled into the man made niche...lost in oblivion.
the girl turned around looking frantically to find solace with the ever increasing crowd pushing the way forward, finding none she was about to loose hope when a smile on my lips brought a glimmer to her face. I offered my hand to her which was graciously accepted, a quick round of introduction made us converse more easily from being complete strangers to becoming friends over just a small talk.
Moving Reena in front of me, we waited for the next surge of human intervention. The last thing i looked at her face was a wink followed by utter delight and before we knew it we were right in front of the stage.
*A sudden blast of air to my right ear tol' me i was at a place where history was being made and i was thinking of cheap pleasure that could have been indulged in any time.*
I joined the fray of chaps doin' head banging and completely forgot bout time and 'her'....guess her excitement was all about being there at the top but of not staying over there, soon the over-zealous crowd enveloped her into the fathoms of in-distinction...and the next time i looked up she was no where to be seen...hard luck! i should say...
...the concert was a gr8 success, nevertheless with the group not playing its old time favourite numbers a good many old timers and ardent fans did show a glum look on their faces, but everyone had a cheerful look on their faces.
Moving my way back to the car, I found my other friends waiting there. Re-grouping together we described to each other the varied memories we seemed to have. The reminiscence, was broken by the same melodious voice that i had seemed to forget in the experience. Turning around i was met by the same face, the expression on her face telling a lot. I very well knew the damage i had done, without any explanation i hung my face to avoid any sharp comments she could have made.
She just gave me a piece of paper, and a quick peck on the cheek and made her way back to her waiting friends; turning once for me to acknowledge i had read what was written on the piece of paper...getting a thoughtful nod from me, she continued. I got my mobile out and gave a missed call on the number given in the paper.
A return call from that number took some days to come....but it did, following it up with a glorious friendship that I still treasure and continue till date....
